          She was known for her roles in films such as The Private Life of Don Juan (1934), The Great Garrick (1937), and The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939). She also appeared in television series such as The Adventures of Robin Hood (1955-1960) and The Avengers (1961-1969).
