          Nicole Burdette

          American playwright and actress

          Nicole Maria Burdette (born December 24, 1963)[1][2] is an American playwright and actress.

          She is also an assistant professor at The New School for Drama.

          Early life and education

          Burdette was born in San Francisco,[2] the first of two children of Ellen (née Stepovich) and Lawrence Burdette.

          Why was barbara soprano recast

          Her uncle is former governor of Alaska, Mike Stepovich[3] whose daughter, Nada, is married to NBA Hall of Fame player John Stockton.

          She attended New York University with a triple major in acting, writing, and the humanities.

          She graduated with honors and was a recipient of the prestigious Founders' Day Award.[4] She has an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School's renowned Schools of Public Engagement whose former faculty include poets Robert Frost and Frank O'Hara.

          In 2024 she was nominated for the Distinguished University Teaching Award (DUTA) from The New School.
