OGE KIMONO whose full name is Ogechukwu Nwamaka Onwubuya was born on the 14th day of August 1985 in Ikeja, Lagos State. It wasn’t too long before she began to show interest in music. At age 10 she started singing as a hobby and also in the school choir in her days of high school up until 2003 when she picked it up professionally with the encouragement of her father.
Her vocal prowess gained her spots as backup vocalist for quite a number of reggae musicians across the world including Tuklan, Ade Bantu, Uwe Banton all based in Germany and Rocky Dawuni a known Ghanian act based in U.S.A and also not to forget Ras-kimono who groomed her.
