She was born and raised in Montgomery and Frederick County Maryland.

She attended and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Meteorology in 2018. In 2016 Michelle obtained her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
