          Edward Kelly (December 1854[a] – 11 November 1880) was an Australian bushranger, outlaw, gang leader and convicted police-murderer.

          One of the last bushrangers, he is known for wearing a suit of bulletproof armour during his final shootout with the police.

          Kelly was born and raised in rural Victoria, the third of eight children to Irish parents.

          The first real attempt at a biography of a composer that should interest all classes was the work of an Englishman.
